Elijah is now 5 weeks old. It is hard to believe that he has been with us for that long. The time has flown by. He is getting bigger everyday. He is now fitting into 3 month clothes. Nick and I did some shopping at Babies R Us and got him a lot of cute outfits. We got him his outfit for uncle Noel's wedding. We haven't taken the tags off yet for fear that he will grow out of it before the wedding and it will need to be replaced. He let us sleep for 7 hours straight last night. That was great. He doesn't like to sleep after 7 a.m. That is his I'm not going back to sleep time. He usually takes a good nap in the morning and multiple short naps in the afternoon. He is usually in bed by 10 and up around 4 a.m. for his one nightly feeding.We have been going on a lot of walks. He really likes them and sleeps the whole time. That is how I can tell he likes them. If he likes something he sleeps. If he dislikes something he cries. Nick, Jacob, and I were able to get in a round of boche ball yesterday with me carrying Elijah in the baby carrier. He was alert for most of the time just taking in the outdoors. It is really nice that we are able to get out and about more. He is also doing better in the car. As long as he has just been fed we are able to do errands or take a walk for about 2 hours before he starts fussing.
So, Nick and I are starting to get adjusted. I don't feel like a zombie all day and am able to get some stuff done around the house. Nick is still studying so I can't wait for the school year to start so he is home more. I should be starting work soon but I am dragging my feet. It is just so nice to be at home with Elijah and after spending 6 plus weeks with him it will be hard to leave. Everything else is going well. No major news.
